How Our Meal Delivery is Funded Under The NDIS
Gourmet Meals is covered under Core Support, Assistance with Daily Living, Household Tasks, Line item 01_022_0120_1_1 or Line item 01_023_0120_1_1
This means 70% of the order cost is invoiced under the participant's plan to cover our delivery, preparation & packaging costs and the remaining food cost of 30% is to be covered by the participant by Master Card/ Visa Card over the phone or online when ordering. As per the 2023 NDIS Price Guide, we are required to submit a quote to the NDIA for approval. This quote does need to be approved prior to us providing any services.

Our Gourmet Meals are produced according to the Australian Guidelines to Healthy Eating and the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand.

As I am on a disability pension and live on my own, I am gradually getting less mobile, I remember a few years back after coming out of hospital after a shoulder operation I had some Gourmet Meals. Well for the last few months, I have had great difficulty preparing my own meals and now I order Gourmet Meals all the time.
I use Gourmet Meals because of the nutrition in them, they are as good as I could prepare myself, especially the veggies and the meat is so tender. Gourmet Meals are a REAL MEAL. The frozen meals from the supermarkets taste like "chewing cardboard" they have no nutrition at all in them. Gourmet Meals for me.

What variety of NDIS meals do you offer to cater to different dietary requirements?
At Gourmet Meals, we understand that our customers have diverse dietary needs and preferences, which is why we're committed to providing a wide array of meal options. We offer a range of 'standard' meal options prepared following general healthy eating guidelines, as well as specialised dietary menu items. We have a range of options available that are gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, salt-reduced, low-fat, and/or high-protein.
How does the NDIS meal delivery service work for participants living in remote areas?
Every suburb that we deliver to is serviced once a week, on the same day every week. Place your suburb in our delivery day checker to identify whether your suburb is included in our delivery run.
How do I get started with receiving my NDIS meals through your service?
If you have 'Assistance with the cost of preparation and delivery of meals' as a part of your NDIS plan - you are eligible for meals. You then simply need to select your chosen provider. We receive approval from the NDIA or reach out to your plan manager for confirmation for you to start ordering from our selection of healthy meals.
You can order online or over the phone with Gourmet Meals where you’ll be required to pay a 30% co-payment for the meals using a Visa/MasterCard. The remaining cost, as well as any associated delivery costs, are covered under your NDIS funding, and we’ll take care of the admin.
